Anyone know if TPMS sensors can be installed on Demon skinnies? And which ones? Looking at Schrader brand and they have about 6 different ones for a 2021 Super Stock. Clamp in vs snap in, and some look to be positioned differently. 20211208_171914.jpg

Yep, don’t see a need for them.

Do either of you run them on the street as your daily? I think that's what Boosted (and I) plan to do. Does the light stay on? I think it does.

Yes, the nanny will drive you crazy...what I did was use AlfaOBD and
1 Connect to Body computer selecting Central Gateway Module MY 20**(model year you have)
2 When connected, select active diagnosis (the icon with a car on the lower right corner)
3 Select Change car configuration (the last one on the list)
4 Select vehicle tech config2 Tire Pressure System
5 Set it to unset and hit start
6 Done : no more light and no more chime.

On MY18 and up you must have bypass installed to make it work.

Never would I daily a drag pack. I run Pirelli P4s on the front and Nitto 555R2s on the rear.
Florida has way too much rain 🌧.

Correct, I should have clarified since I think I only posted my plans in my other thread. This will be my "everyday" setup, though I don't daily the car and it never sees rain. My drag pack is a Weld setup and I will not be installing TPMS sensors in those.

And here's an example of the different styles that come up when I put in my car's info on the Schrader site: Screenshot 2021-12-09 182929.png

I think skinnies on a daily would be too squirrely for street use. They just want to go in a straight line

Drag pack on the street is very unsafe. I used to drive to the track with them on and almost crashed it when it started to rain. One time a drag radial got punctured late at night on a back road with no jack or spare. My wife had to drive 60 miles to bring me the tire and jack.

This is not my first rodeo, I have driven on drag radials and skinnies before... thats not what I'm asking here. But for what it's worth, my car is NOT a daily driver. I just drive occasionally on nice days, it never sees rain, and I don't go corner carving as I've got a better car in my stable for that. It only has 700 miles on it in the past 6 months to give you an idea, and this rate will actually go down because the first 500 I was trying to get quickly for break in purposes.

I chose the MT Sportsman S/R 28x6 because it's a radial tire that is suited for street use. Look it up if you don't believe me. Ron Silva runs this as his everyday setup as well. Not only will this help me preserve my original wheels and tires for future collectability, the front skinnies will also help reduce the chances of rock chips from the front 315 drag radials picking everything up.

So if anyone has any helpful suggestions on TPMS sensors, please jump in.

If you buy normal OE sensors for a '21 Challenger, they should work just fine.
They don't know or care what kind of tires they're in.

I don't run the Demon skinny but I do have the very similar Forgestar D5 in 18x5. I used the same TPMS as vortecd suggested.
And FWIW - I use the M/T Sportsman front tire also and it works surprisingly well on the street.
I also have a set of the Hoosier non DOT skinnies on my PB wheel set and I'm damn near scared to drive them to the mail box and back. lol

Thanks! Did you find that these would "auto learn"?

Yes.
One odd thing I see regularly with the two vehicles I run staggered(f/r) pressures in is that the TMPS' are often correct on pressure but wrong on location.
I run more air in the front tires on my dually but often one of my rears will show the high pressure and the left front will show what's in the rear.
On my SS(and on both RE's prior) they will do similar. I have 2 sets of tires that the SS sees somewhat regularly. One is the 20x11 ride arounds. The other is the skinnies/ETStreetR set up. Both are likely to turn the staggered pressures around on the locations.
I would suspect that many everyday cars have the same issue but since all 4 tires are set the same it's never noticed.

I don't think I run the same pressures front and rear on anything.

I installed factory Tpms inverted (Not a good idea)

On the Demon skinny

I lower my front tire pressure to 30 psi for my

roll out

The tpms sensor nut came loose after crossing

the stripe @ 135 moh as soon as I tapped the

brake I lost all the air in my tire.

So I took that tpms out

And replaced them with the valve stems from

the Demon crate.

The tpms sensor was likely rubbing inside the

Tire when running the lower pressure

Witch then loosened the nut over time.

I check my tire psi often

No need for Tpms. Anyways

So you are saying you installed them wrong and they failed? Not sure how different the demon wheels are but I have them installed on my forgestar 18x6 and they fit fine
Like said they are not needed but it is nice not having the light on driving to and from the track. With the rears low at the track you still get the light there
