The hot rod/performance etc car industry has always been a small piece of the pie. And I agree, most don't care so they won't push back. Many like the idea of "free gas" of an electric car. Until they want to road trip it.

If lots of people actually loved cars and didn't treat/think of them as appliances, there would be a shit load more Vettes, Hellcats, Camaros etc on the road. And the car manufacturers would gladly build them.

I take my 55 or TRX out, I get a lot of thumbs up and looks from kids. I've had the chance to be around a bunch of junior high kids the last few years and let me tell you, there are some that LOVE cars.

As for where things will be 10-20-30 years from now re: our SC all-ICE ultra-high-HP cars, I think we have a pretty good idea right now. The top dogs in that class will be unicorns for those who know. Even SC manuals with "only" 707-717HP will have their own separate special place (along with all Vipers, stick GT500s, manual Blackwings, etc).

Hint: Don't trade in your late model HC for a(ny) Tesla.

Got the matching Vin a few weeks ago. According to Tim et al, production won't start until early July so not much going on in June, save for some non-matched vins being assigned. You'll have to ask he-who-shall-not -be-named if he has any action on that front.

As you know, he's quite touchy about his fcuk up.

I think the value will always be there, there's still guys like me and jon that are interested in our generation, not to mention ultra wealthy people who collect.... it's just a lot thinner of a crowd.

Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it most of the dudes I do meets with, cruises, etc etc are all at least a decade or more older than me with most being in their 40s, it's cool that they don't mind us younger guys hanging around.
