Pure capitalism doesn't need subsidies..and no its not just tax writeoffs....(1 Trillion (yes with a T) in 2022 globally...)

so if we don't want green subsidies (I agree) then guess what? We also don't want oil subsidies, especially for an industry that can clearly stand on its own (after 150 years).

How about NO subsidies?

Stop spitting out Green talking points, LOL, their bullshit has been debunked. It is easily available and easy to understand. That you fail at a fundamental level to understand how the oil and gas patch supply us with energy at an affordable price is on you. The incorporation/taxes/depreciation rules governing them are meant to do one thing, ensure gas/oil is supplied to industry and consumers in a timely cost-effective manner. Try and wrap your head around why that is a good thing.

Depends what state you live in! I moved from Ohio to the Great State of Florida. Now, no state earnings tax, no county tax, no city tax and tremendously lower property tax. This equates into a huge pay increase, as the taxes hurt, especially the Ohio state earnings tax. The county/state services are actually better in Florida. The question is, why the tremendously high taxes and nothing to show for all the extra tax money???

did ya ever see where yer state representatives live in Ohio...there's plenty to show for it...

My son lives in Pittsburg..every year we do a HUGE Halloween production display...4 12ft skeletons..8 15ft inflatables...laser light show..and this year the centerpiece a 25 ft blow up Frankenstein digitally made...that looks human...came from California..it's unbelievable...all the neighborhood kids (and parents) go crazy...school busses go outta their way to bring kids there...I have 2 grandkids...one 6 the other 9...they look forward to it more than Christmas...6 of my buddies give up their weekend to help set up and make it happen...family is everything to me...

temp & subs get same pay as FT
no step pay based on YOS (i.e. socialist, everyone gets paid the same)
more paid time off

If even 1/2 of that gets implemented expect a HUGE jump in the already stratospheric new car prices we're seeing !!
IMO, will bite the unions in the ass - there will be a slump in sales, layoffs and huge incentive to take plant automation to the next level & bring in AI/robotics.

You are so very right! I'm not paying 10K to 20K more for a domestic auto. I have always bought USA/CANADA built, can't afford to pay people 46 dollars an hour working 4 days a week and getting paid for a 5 day workweek! The day of reckoning is coming. This is a hollow victory.
