I really wish they would weld the oil fill provision on the heads shut. No idea why no one does this

These will NOT be installed on stock block .... waiting for the next level build and have a few options to choose from

I wonder what the availability is going to look like with these. Could be a go to for some serious builds if they are in stock available. Thiteks have been many months wait time for some people I know. Up to almost a year recently. I’ve got a new set of Thiteks in the box waiting on the current motor assembly, but if I didn’t, I might be calling AFR.

Ordered mine in June from HHP, shipped in Oct. Much better than some offer for wait times

I ordered a set of AFR 224 heads from Better Built Engines 3 weeks ago. The same day i ordered a BGE block with billet main caps, Callies 8 cw crank, Callies Ultra rods, Diamond pistons, Total seal rings. Sent them my cam, lifters, timing cover and oil pan. When i called Alex at BBE to discuss motor build and time frame expected to wait on parts. I was surprised when he told me that was a common build. He had all the parts in stock Built engine is on a pallet ready to ship to me on Monday.

I will say this about Better Built and dealing with Alex….. it’s been five years now on the 426 he built for me. The engine has never been apart and has hundreds of 7000 rpm passes on it. It makes 1500hp at the flywheel and gets 4100 lbs down the quarter in 8.2 seconds at 167 mph. Talk is talk when it comes to opinions on stuff like who builds motors. He gets a 👍🏼 from me

I no longer have my hellcat. But I had a basic 5000 dollar bottom of the line 426 by Alex. 9.60 fully weighted at 4500 foot da. I think I was the first on this forum to use him. And Alex is easy to talk to. Good luck!

They may have went up in price so you might be able to sell without losing money. I did not shop around because Alex is building my motor. I think he is fair on parts and labor. This is the 4th build that he has done for me. AFR 224 with inconel valves. I paid 4400. I almost want a pair of valve covers like you have. But I refuse to run a catch can. I feel the oem valve covers have a well designed baffle system. I have not had any oil consumption issues.
Intakes ports have always been clean with very little oil in intake ports when I have pulled supercharger off. I have had it off 3 or 4 times over 21k miles.

I sold the Cornerstone covers due to the necessity of clearancing the ps reservoir
