Lighter, just make it lighter! Don't screw with the powerplants.
Different bushings everywhere
Adjustable control arms (camber & toe - four corners)
Strut braces
Spring/shock tuned different, leave a street setting!
More stiff & adj sway bars
Demon Performance Rotors - four corners (makes rears two piece also)
Delivered with DOT 4 racing quality brake fluid
12" - 13" wide wheels - perhaps not 20" diameter
335/30 F 345/30 R or 345/30 x 4 or with wheel change 355/30 Viper rubber!

That would make them better, the most expensive is figuring out where to cut 500 or more pounds with lightweight materials.

AND maintain crash safety. I suggest the floor pan stamped in aluminum instead of steel. The Germans came up with the single-sided stamping machine that uses a template and a rubber membrane backed by tons of oil pressure to form sheet metal, instead of having to carefully craft a negative and positive metal surface stamping machine.

In fact, considering how heavy the chassis is, they could replace a lot of it directly with aluminum, replace front seats with lightweight racing buckets, and replace the stock hood with helium-filled titanium (that is a joke, it's light already.)

It's not hard to do, it's just maintaining the lives of people inside the car that is important. Who's the next Dodge Challenger buyer? Most likely the last Dodge Challenger buyer!

FORGET ALL the other stuff until a light chassis is in place... And THEN start working on the lists above. Weight is the Challenger's biggest problem in this generation.

Same thoughts here. Weight period. 500 l.bs lighter, car would be even more unbelievable. Aluminum block? Com'on my 2011 Silverado pickup has one on a 315 horse engine! That should've been standard fare on an expensive perf. car a few years ago. Carbon fiber rims (Substantial weight savings, not just little bits---Ford did it). No power drivers seat. Aluminum floor stamping (and other hard/ body parts) great idea. At mass production level could be done easily and fairly economically. It could be done.

And for that reason I don't care enough any more. After seeing a WB Charger Daytona with a $30K ADM on it and a $200 charge for inflating the tires this morning - I am out. These cars have been taken over by greed.

They have $5,500 wheels (each) for us also.

Now if I could just find that winning lottery ticket......

They do offer a top-of-their-line cast iron 405mm front and rear diameter rotor kit for 4190 bucks, with everything included, including park brake compatibility, calipers, mounts, pads, stainless pistons, extra dust boots. That seems pretty good, especially with the cross-drilled-only rotors, since I do not like slots. Curious if Porsche has the tungsten-faced rotors locked up with patents, because that seems, by far, to be the way to go.

That seems rather hard to beat. I am not inclined to replace the well-proven Brembos, however.
