I believe it had more to do with the total absence of traction control - meaning I got all the power. However, there are a few different tune maps when going from street to sport to track. Also the 2019 engines have the highest SAE numbers to date:

Mostly due to lower parasitic draw with the deletion of power steering. But I heard something changed with the valve events/cam specs and supercharger design in 2019. Unfortunately a lot of that is hearsay, and not first hand information.
All the more reason to finish breaking this thing in for racing next season.
