Looks amazing! Have you done any paint protection or planning on doing some Yosemite Sam mud flaps for those areas behind the rear tires? :) Got to think it will be getting blasted with rocks all the time.
Come on. Everyone knows the mud flaps the the Playboy Bunny logo are the ticket. 😏

Yea I suspect your "street set up" may not be very far behind your "strip" set up dependent on certain track conditions. Could very well be called "street/strip" set up ?
I also think the DR-2's will be very comfortable for casual driving due to the greater sidewall and I believe Ron reported the Sportsman "skinnies" are very capable on the street.

Love to get your casual driving impressions of the DR-2/Sportsman set up.

I realize this will not be optimum for handling whereas that's a whole different discipline.
You're right, this setup will be used at the track some as well when I'm not going for new bests etc. I'll report back on the driving impressions--I've driven on the DR2's so far and now i'm spoiled with the added traction over the NT05R's. But the M/T sportsman fronts have not seen asphalt yet. If the weather ever cooperates, I'll take it out but that may be a while. And I basically decided I don't much care about the handling, as we've got other cars available for any sort of twisty mountain cruises (Daytona 392 or Trans Am WS6).

No, I haven't done anything yet--still undecided. I don't like the mud flap look... was really hoping these front Demon skinnies that are sunk in would help prevent any rocks from coming from the front tires. Aside from that, I never take the car on the interstate. It has only seen back roads around my house and thankfully I only live 10 min from the drag strip.

I've been thinking about preserving various original parts on the car for future value purposes. As mentioned in this thread already, I've pulled the OEM wheels and tires. I've also been thinking about taking the front seats out and wrapping them, then finding a used set and having them done in leather with the logo just like OE (Katzkin). This is actually far cheaper than if I had optioned the car with leather due to having to select other options with the leather option. I ordered some floor mats too, so the originals are now wrapped up in storage: 20220214_124623~2.jpg

Here's a couple passes I made yesterday at our local eighth mile. Car did much better than last fall. The shifts were good except 1-2 was still short shifting a bit--logs said 5200-5300 even though the tach looked more like 5500+. Overall not bad for the conditions... DA was 1277'. Can't wait to get some more seat time!

Here are today's results! Another new best... 6.55 at 106.5 on a 1.42 60' (last pass of the day). Chiller wouldn't activate on the first pass and ET was the same as my best above but at only 104 mph. After cooling it down some, chiller was back, and trap speed went up. Haven't checked datalogs yet so I'll analyze all that tomorrow.

Any thoughts or ideas on why the chiller wouldn't activate?
