But it was like this when you unloaded it out of the trailer, with the stock shifter, right?
The Barton self centers, the stock one doesn’t. Maybe there’s something funky going on there.
It was acting up when I received it but It had a Hurst shifter in it at the time. The Hurst is dimensionally almost the same as the Barton, neither of them shifted good in this car. Obviously poor enough to make me think there was some underlying clutch/trans issue.

Drove the car more today, still shifting great with the OEM shifter installed. I find it highly unlikely anything is wrong with those two other shifters, may be something specific to this car, but for some reasons they just didn’t work well for me.
