So, my house is in escrow. I decided to use this time waiting for my Demons to be built to sell and move back to So Cal. Back to the renting game......

If I did that I would likely cut all the back side out and be left with the front plate. Make a Plaque out of it.

I am glad someone notices how much it costs to buy truck and trailer and fuel to go all over the US chasing DA and good track conditions Etc Etc Etc....Thank you very much.


And it's interesting how if I "allow" someone to help me with these expenses, I get mercilessly Flamed. Even threatened.

That's OK. I got recognized and received the biggest help of all recently, so I think I will survive. Feeling so blessed and thankful over this…………..

Jealousy is the cause of that.

Big name race teams are corporate billboards. Why is it different for a race team to ask for money and not an individual doing the same damn thing?

In all honesty, Mopar/Dodge should have put you on a list to get an MSRP right from the very beginning. And help pay expenses etc.
Get the car delivered to your closest dealer.

One of the few who have gone out and beat the hell out of these cars while most treat them like museum pieces.

It’s a sorry outlook for the west. That has been the only facility running a weekly schedule. More than one local shop and their customers relying on that to do what they do. Makes me want to move. Oh right! I am 🙄

Even my podunk town had this happen to our short track.

The owner didn't want to sell. Maybe she thought the kids would continue to run it. Nope.
She died and a few months later it was all sold. For a car wash, a strip mall, and an unnamed box store. All of which we have several of in the area.

So glad Byron Dragway held out for an owner/s that wanted to operate it.

The domino effect of a track like Irwindale closing is a lot bigger than you might think. That track is in Los Angeles. It’s a well attended weekly event with a lot of grudge racing and test and tune on the 1/8 mile. They have a Thursday night burn box that draws hundreds of tire smoking yahoos that do it there instead of the intersections in LA. All those people now have nowhere to use their cars except on the street. Wonder how that’s going to turn out 🙄. That property is surrounded by quarries. I bet it gets used for container storage or possibly another giant hole to produce dirt. The bigger problem is all those people stop participating. They move on to other things and the remaining tracks like Bakersfield and Vegas and Phoenix start wondering what happened to the car count at their events. They lost their test and tune facility. That’s exactly what happened to me back when I was racing in the Pro Stock Bike class in the NHRA. I lost my test track. OCIR (Orange County International Raceway) in Irvine,CA. I had to use that track for weekly testing to progress and be competitive in that class and…. It closed. I had to quit. It’s a mall now. My last time at Irwindale. Running the wall… 🫣

Racing FOUR different Demon 170's at Iwindale in the last 11 months. All 4 did 1.21 or better sixty foots with the best being 1.195 resently. The Private rentals have been awesome. So completely sad to see this end...........
