The old (heavy) ones are sold and the light weights are ready to go in. Weighing in at 15 lbs with cover and brackets I will drop 50 lbs over running the others. The new 3.0 Whipple DragPak race supercharger has been purchased and the Holley Dominator based EFI system is being put together. By fall the HellPak conversion will be complete. We will have some interesting pictures coming soon. 😎
As nice as those Braums were, unless I removed the passenger seat for the track, I was lugging that additional weight (40 lbs). Once I went to the welded in door bars (preparation for the 7.5 cert cage) moving that seat in and out was a chore. I want to always have two seats in the car. This way I can do that without the performance penalty of the additional weight.
That they are not! Very tight fitting and actually comfortable to sit in as long as you don’t need to adjust position. There’s no adjusting 😂. My car only has a cross country range of about 50 miles now so I’ll be ok.
