Also…. On a side note. The electrical work that has just been done was at Time Bandit Performance in Phoenix. He did a nice job. But….. going forward, the car will be running out of Spankintime Performance in Hurricane, Utah. That’s less than 30 minutes from my house so no more long distance commuting to the shop. Initial setup and tuning will be done by Adam Montague there and I will be working with him going forward. I’m attending the Holley EFI training class in Bowling Green in two weeks. Jim Golden (Redeye Racing) and I are going for a couple of their Dominator tuning classes so it should be a lotta fun. The goal of coarse will be to tune at the track myself in addition to working and learning from Adam at the shop. We’re already in the planning (and phoning) stages of building a BIG HP Dart block based motor that will be running the new 3.8 Whipple. 2000hp? 🤫

Which button turns on the air conditioned seats?
Great progress!

Actually…. It’s automatic. Fire suppression nozzle under the seat goes off if it gets too hot. Looks like this 😁 B24A1006-AFA9-4F9D-9441-91FDB9122EF0.jpeg

Here’s something 🤓. My new DragPak front brakes. Comes with the billet hub that have low resistance bearings. The calipers are also billet. The rotor and hat are separate and held together with the mother of all snap rings. Total weight with everything put together is 14 lbs per side 👊 BFD34883-74F5-4A82-8D35-49E886C94BD8.jpeg 4078C00B-E4A2-4ECC-B1FB-8FF64A6DEC03.jpeg 7451E856-8D0F-45F0-BBCF-70BEBA2FEAE4.jpeg 5275934B-AC98-4EF5-924E-7E1C1D608CF1.jpeg

The brakes on my bicycle weigh more than that.

I forget what the stock brakes weigh. They’re not off yet to weight them but over 30 a side I think for just the rotors. I’m also ditching the heavy M/T Sportsman’s for light weight Hoosiers and that will be an additional 10 less per tire. I’m thinking maybe 60 lbs of rolling weight total. That should be good 😊

Wow. So a 36 lb savings per side (plus 10 each on the new tires) will be…. 92 lb off the front with a significant percent of that rolling! My day is made!😜

No. The knuckles have to be changed. The original DragPak was based off the 2010 Challenger. That hasn’t changed. I also had to change over to the 2010 lower control arms to fit the Strange coil overs

Grabbed a couple pics of some of the custom touches that require fabrication. You can’t buy this stuff off the shelf. It requires time and talent to make. The throttle body with the DragPak Supercharger is manually operated. So… a throttle cable has to be used and that requires a pedal and a bracket at the throttle body that have to be custom mounted for the cable. It would be nice if one could just buy this stuff, but….. 😑. I actually called the people building the Dragpaks to ask about purchasing one of their setups and they politely told me to stuff it.

I hesitate to say it’s going to do something in advance. I’ll quote the saying…. “Announcing your intentions is a good way to hear God laugh”. I’ll say this…. The car ran a 8.7 with a missed shift (hit the limiter on the 2nd to 3rd gear shift). That was at 4600 lbs with the IRS. Since then I’ve removed 800 lbs, improved the suspension, and went from the old 4.5 Whipple to the much improved 3.0 DragPak version. The new Dominator ECU will allow for much more precise tuning which will include hitting the shifts at the chosen rpm (air shifted) instead of relying on my dumb ass to do it. What do you think. 🤔
