We certainly have enough areas where wind power could work.....but then people cry because some bird flew into the turbine blades and got killed. In the U.S. we certainly have enough open desert space or old farmland for solar farms.....but some poor "whatever" might be blinded by the glare and get killed....or land on the solar panel and get cooked.

I don't think wind and solar could keep up with the demand . But I agree with your statement. They want their cake and eat it too .
