The Flowmaster mufflers I had before were connected to that mid pipe with slip-on connections. I just took them off and replaced them with the turndowns. I can replace them when I want. What this did do is subtract 25 lbs. Those big muffs are heavy! Don't know what its going to sound like as we're still plumbing the fuel system to work with the new tank in the trunk.

I was going to ask about the mufflers a few days ago. Some classes require them... looks like yours doesn't!

Some sanctions and tracks do require muffs. The common practice is a very short mini glass pack like chamber that is about 3” long and 1/2” bigger in diameter than the tube. They do nothing and there is no requirement as far as decibel reduction. Just something you can point at and say... muffler. If necessary, I’ll add a couple of those.

Lol. We’ll see. There was a car that came in while I was there (he came in to see mine and talk to me) that was just running open headers with no exhaust rear of those at all. It wasn’t any louder than many of the other Hellcats there with their different aftermarket systems. Primetime’s is the loudest Hellcat I’ve ever heard. Somehow he’s figured out how to make mufflers louder than open exhaust. 🤓

I don’t know how my car got so dam loud. I still have the rear mufflers on. All it has is just the mid delete and the headers. It’s that nasty cam that adds to it.
It’s so dam loud I’m afraid to drive it sometimes.
Eventually I’m gonna have to get Marc’s new set up.

Some more shots of the new stuff. Fuel system and coil overs. Suspension is very soft and like any drag car is not designed now for cornering. We have it very low in the front. The springs have about 10” of upward travel the way they’re adjusted. The thing pulls wheelies in the parking lot now. 😂

We had to change out the front control arms to work with the front shocks. The 2015 DragPaks used a LC platform control arm so rather than grinding on the Hellcat arms, we started searching for the right one. Thing is.... it’s like every year is different. Fortunately we have the local dealer ok with delivering stuff and if it doesn’t work they just take it back. Took a few tries but the 2006 SRT 8 ended up being the ticket.

Got some work to do on dressing up the trunk but it’s up and running now. Did you know that without the ABS wiring harness plugged in to the mothership, that you can’t bleed the brakes? That Holly is looking better and better. 🧐
