That I'm unsure of. I know that can be controlled in the tune, however. I'm just not savvy enough with transmissions to know when that should happen after launch at WOT. @hellno probably does.

The converter does lock up in first gear under wot
It’s designed that way , if you think it’s pushing thru the converter clutch you can add pressure to the converter clutch to help it hold
If not your problem is e clutch

2016 challenger hellcat
Or a solenoid lol mine went bad in rockingham and turned out to be a bad e clutch solenoid , I caught hell on Facebook Because of a bad solenoid 🤣 I reassembled my trans after inspecting it and no sign of any clutch slip and replaced the solenoid tested Friday night in hollysprings Mississippi and trans worked great

Under normal driving mine worked fine when I launched it it would just rev up to 7200 rpm and I’d have to let off the pedal
We found the e clutch solenoid was 50 percent less flow if I were you I’d add a little pressure for the converter clutch and see if that corrects it

That is Mike's Job. I am 100% stock power. I even have some weight reduction which I would think would help matters.
Stock power shouldn’t be pushing thru the converter at all most of the time in trans tuning the converter clutch pressure is never touched
I’d bet something else is going on with the trans causing it because at that rpm at the top of first you’d only see maybe a maximum of 200 rpm of converter slip if it was actually slipping, and the trans would still be able to complete the shift I’d say add some more line pressure to it

@DRAGRCR & @hellno , Would it have anything to do with Trans. temp. , maybe not up to temp, being cooled down at the track between passes ?... is it only happening when racing or even on the street ?
