Well... I put myself in your shoes for a few seconds and the first thing that popped into my head was.... Lemon Law/ fix it or take it back. The thing has a documentable glitch that impacts the way the car runs. It shouldn’t do that and yet there it is. There’s nothing that says going full throttle somehow is outside of the car being expected to perform right or their responsibility to fix it or take it back if they can’t change it. Is there?

I run the car in Drive with Track Trans. It's there in the log. LOL .... I have tried the Trans in Sport one time and it seemed the same or worse.

As well, I have never implied that I had any one off factory tuning. But if I somehow got a strong motor I could see it doing this on one condition. If they have the car right on the edge tune wise. But that would be stupid. We have been pulling seats etc. changing tires and gears in these cars since day one and if the car was right on the edge tune wise it would cause all kinds of problems. My 16 Hellcat ran perfect no matter what I did to that thing. Always shifted perfect. So, a problem like this was never even on my radar.

My sarcastic response to FCA: "What, I can't change anything now?" I bet there are quite a few Guys that buy a 2.62 car with the idea they will just swap the 3.09's in there. Etc. Etc.
I seen that In the log . But that was only one log I was just curious what your "Norm" in that's all . I know you are not implying crazy stuff like that lol . You are frustrated with the situation. Do you trailer the car and only race it ? Do you do any street driving ? I'm trying to wrap my head around this if I can . I'm going to look more in-depth this weekend .

I asked about driving it because a few times I reset all my adaptives at the track before I started making runs and when I drove home it would hold shifts longer and shift much firmer even in street mode . These things learn .
It would be nice to see in the log which shift mode/table it was using. There are a lot of variables in the TCM cal . There is also differences from 2019 to 2020 .

Count me among them. My leftover 2.62's are in the back room in my shop.
And as you've seen my car doesn't miss a beat on the dragstrip.

Speedy seeing that there is in fact a difference in the factory trans tuning from '19 to '20 at least begins to maybe explain where the problem lies.

This is a really odd deal.

Ron, if that car runs 6.6 in the 1/8th at 3k da on the stock 93 tune, I highly doubt it is a lemon.

That being said, I ran both the 2.62 and 3.09 gears in my redeye on both the stock cal and a race cal. I think you may be barking up the wrong tree blaming the car. I've been able to get the car to hit the limiter on the 1-2 and / or the 2-3 by simply under or over inflating the tires depending on track and weather conditions...just sayin....

Ron, furthermore there is nothing stopping you from lowering the 1-2 shift point in the tcm by 100 rpm. The tcm is not locked, only the PCM is. You don't need to unlock the PCM to solve this if you believe the issue is a shift point. I think it's in how you have the car set up...but either way all you need to do is think out of the box for a solution.

Hey Ron, did you already or can't the dealer simply reflash the stock TCM tune, & see if that helps ? … would at least be worth trying & see what happens ?
