I managed a police fleet for close to 20 years. I love cop cars. My cars were pretty special to me (I designed everything about them) but MSP cars have always been my envy. Out of tradition, they still run the bubble gum machine light (now LED version) on the roof and the stop sign on the hood. In the old days, if people did not stop, the cop would pull up along side the car with that sign. It lights up, so ecpecially at night, the clear acrylic is lit up with the STOP being bright red. They also wear the big, round, brood rimmed hats too. They are state police, much like state highway patrol in other states.

Wood shingle?

And funny you should mention that; compared to the 111K the most recent garage was a 24.5 x 13.5 with lean to shingle roof, unpainted hardiplank walls (over base and Tyvek), two interior lights, insulated roll up door, metal man door with exterior porch light, but I recently gave the guy his deposit back because with inflation and building materials teh way they were, I could not longer honor the 20K quote.

Cheapest asphalt shingles I could buy went on the roof, used asphalt shingles from a neighbor's house went on the floor. Used shingles actually made a good floor, cost me 0.

I didn't need or want power, can run an extension cord if need be. No insulation, screw concrete floors they cost a fortune, a guy can even now build a garage for 5000. Power is very expensive to do, insulation is pricey, finishing walls and floor, fancy doors, all that crap. If you just want a place for the car and bikes to be safe, you need none of that.

Sure my shops now are fancy, and expensive, but I wasn't sure what I was doing tomorrow, at that time of my life, so wasn't investing much money in that old duplex. I fixed anything that broke myself, labor costs are a killer, and anyone can read a couple library books on building , pay a friend in beer, and build a simple garage.

Not sure why, but I assumed Hellcat owners would have a garage to park their cars in at night. So unless on a trip, and at a hotel, they were locked up. While preparing to buy a high end car, spend a little bit more and build a garage. Garage costs a lot less than the car, and keeps it out of the sun and elements to. Damn even my cheap used honda run around car is in a shed, with a locked door.
1- Not everyone works a 9-5.
2- They're so easy to steal that assholes will take them in broad daylight.
3- Can't lock it away at work (at least I can't). Ask FCA employees about missing Chargers/Challengers from plant parking lots.

In which case adding a steering wheel club, and aftermarket alarm with immobilizer are good ideas. The visual deterrent of a steering wheel club will help. It is staring the would be thief in the face.
I had to park my 2004 Ram SRT pickup in a sketchy area, and got an aftermarket alarm with immobilizer, and a club.
