We survived the weekend and made it back home early this morning. Driving straight through from Houston to Shelbyville sucks.
Some of this info is on the LOD thread in the Drag Racing section but I thought it might be good to consolidate it here since it'll be less likely to get lost over time.
Tune wise Jon Moored had me right where I needed to be. It took a few revisions here at home to get the cold start dialed in just right and such but by the time we headed for Houston the engine and trans were both happy. The simple change of injectors and the engine/trans tune from Jon REALLY woke my car up.
The suspension changes were 100% worth the effort. There were many cars in Houston that had traction issues all weekend. I had basically none. I made 12 runs with a 60' of 1.35 or better, 10 of them were 1.33 or better with a best of 1.306. Incredible. The car leaves hard, goes straight with no wiggles under power like they do with the stock components.
The weight reduction was pretty straightforward and allowed me to get the car/driver combo fairly light. Not "Ron" light, but still pretty light. With me in it and half tank of fuel it weighed 4260. I'm happy with that for no more effort than was made to lighten the car.
In the end my best et/mph was 9.413/144.46. DA on that run was -759. Not too shabby.
