If I was at Irwindale and I was struggling I would run that tire at 17PSI HOT and account for and use an extended burnout. If I were really determined I might go 16. MT says the bottom end is 14PSI but our cars are heavy and supercharged so they hit the tire a little harder than usual. So, I try to stay a couple pounds above the minimum especially due to possible gauge differences.........Houston at Legions I run 19-20 of course..............
Irwindale would be a mistake unless it is a special event. Thursday night is a crap shoot. Do you have FB?
THIS, is what I would go to if I were you. I was scheduled to go and a lot of my Friends are going but I had to accept a well paying Gig. So, unfortunately I cannot go....
So Dodge has announced they are bringing back the Direct Connection program for the new cars.
I've watched the You Tube video but there is not much info at the moment.
Stay tuned sports fans.

Now that it's officially announced I'll be making some phone calls to find out timeframes and participating dealers to determine my cleanest pathway to getting this done. Woohoo, this is exciting stuff!
This is what tnt sold me! Im converting my Redeye widebody to look like a super stock or demon. Bought some super stock wheels and cant wait to install them. I know im not a SS but i want to look the part . Only sad part is i cant find tires for the life of me. I will be powder coating the ss wheels to look like the demon wheels.

It's my clear understanding that they're the same wheel, just painted that RE gray/purple hue.
Also, fwiw - I'm told that the Demon wheel black paint most closely matches satin black powder.
Well, I learned that we know more(albeit just a little) about the new Direct Connection stuff than the guys at my local dealership. In fairness, the Service Manager left for vacation yesterday but the service guy I spoke to had know knowledge about it at all.
And so, I wait. lol

Im going to take my center caps off my black widebody wheel and have them match to those. Ill have like 3 or 4 blacks to choose from. Matte, flat, satin, semi gloss and gloss. I think your right its probably going to be satin or maybe matte.
What tires do you guys recommend for street. I just bought a set of Super stock wheels and as of right now there are only 2 choices for 315 40 18. Nitto NTO5R, Nitto 555r2. They had 555g2 but those are now discontinued per nitto :*(
Would you guys recommend i go with 305 45 18s? Or stick with 315 40 18s when they come available and go with the 555r2?
I run the r2's on my 707 HC WB and really have no complaints as a daily and occasional track car. I plan on using them on my SS when it arrives, too. I'll pull the factory tires when it arrives and sell them or keep them for nostalgia.. lol
